The following terms and conditions apply to all work undertaken by Boiler Point Plumbing & Heating. By accepting a quote from us, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Existing Systems Liability
No responsibility can be accepted for any faults or failures that may occur to existing pipework, fittings, equipment, etc. due to disturbance caused by the proposed works.
2. Survey Assumptions
The quote assumes existing systems are functioning properly. The company reserves the right to charge for correcting any faults discovered during work.
3. Additional Dismantling Costs
Dismantling fitted cupboards or similar structures may incur extra charges unless specified in the quote.
4. Flooring Disturbance
Carpets will be lifted and replaced but not re-stretched. Thermoplastic tiles, vinyl, cork, or laminate have no allowance for reinstallation unless noted.
5. Service Isolation
Water, gas, and electrical services may be temporarily isolated with advance notice.
6. Hole Making
Holes will be made good but painting and decoration are not included.
7. Decoration
No guarantee is given for matching brickwork or existing decoration.
8. Access Requirements
Unrestricted access to all relevant parts of the property is assumed; delays may incur extra charges.
9. Third-Party Delays
External trades not under company control may cause delays subject to surcharges.
10. Single Visit Assumption
Works proceed in one continuous visit; additional visits are chargeable.
11. Payment & Ownership
Materials remain company property until full payment is received. The company reserves debt collection rights.
12. Out-of-Hours Work
No provision made unless specified in the quote.
13. Timeline Disclaimers
All dates or times given for the start of or duration of the works are given in good faith and may be varied due to unforeseen circumstances.
14. Warranty Period
A twelve-month guarantee covers design and workmanship only, not existing equipment.
15. Alternative Materials
The company may substitute different manufacturers if functionally equivalent.
16. Client-Supplied Items
Items must be inspected before use; faults are the client's responsibility.
17. Additional Works
Extra work requires separate agreement and charges.
18. Quote Validity
Quotes are valid for 30 days; works must commence within 90 days.
19. Payment Terms
Interest charged at 5% above Lloyds TSB Bank base rate monthly on overdue accounts.
20. Dangerous Waste
Asbestos removal incurs extra charges.
21. Acceptance
Accepting the quote constitutes acceptance of all conditions.
22. Gas Safety Testing
Prior to commencement of work involving gas appliances, the existing gas supply will be subject to a soundness test.
23. Power Flushing Risks
The power flushing process may expose existing system weaknesses; repairs are additional charges.
24. Combination Boiler Pressure
Higher pressures may reveal existing system weaknesses; repairs are not included.
25. Parking Fees
Controlled Parking Zone fees are passed to the client at cost.
26. Children & Pets
It is the client's responsibility to keep children and pets away from work areas.
27. Leasehold Properties
The client must secure landlord permission; the company accepts no responsibility without it.
